If I could I would tattoo the underside of my skin like a firmament for my veins with
ink made from foxfire mushrooms and swarming dinoflagellates. Carve twisting vines
like rivulets for the new glow to pool along the length of my bones. I would
be my own constellation, encapsulate my own wildest night. Tattoos are flags
rippling in mountaintop wind, but I want to claim the whole mountain down to
its roots.
